Reception Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting early childhood development? Do you have experience working in EYFS settings, either in a school or nursery environment? We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Foundation Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in the Wirral area.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced EYFS practitioner to support teaching and learning within a Reception classroom. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality early years education, supporting both individual and group learning, and promoting a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum
Assist in planning and delivering engaging learning activities
Observe, assess, and record children’s progress
Provide 1:1 and group support as needed
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Work collaboratively with staff and communicate effectively with parents/carers

Requirements:

Relevant EYFS qualification
Previous experience in a school or nursery setting, specifically within the EYFS framework
A patient, caring, and flexible approach
DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
