A welcoming primary school in Wirral is seeking a dedicated and experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team, supporting children in the Foundation Stage every morning.

Working hours for this role are 8.30am-12.30pm.

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
  • Assisting with classroom routines, activities, and small group work
  • Observing and supporting children’s learning and development
  • Promoting a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
  • Working closely with the class teacher and wider EYFS team

 

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in an EYFS setting (nursery or school)
  • A relevant qualification in Early Years or Supporting Teaching & Learning (e.g. Level 2/3) is desirable
  • A strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development
  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Year 2 Teaching Assistant

Are you someone who can think on their feet, use their initiative, and build strong, supportive relationships with children?

We are looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 2 who is currently working at Foundation Stage level. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with a nurturing approach and the ability to adapt learning experiences to meet individual needs.

 

About the Role

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to support a pupil who benefits from regular movement and sensory breaks throughout the day. There are no behavioural needs, but the ability to recognise when the pupil needs time away from the classroom is essential.

The pupil responds particularly well to sports and active learning, so an interest in physical activity or outdoor learning would be a great asset in this role.
