Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term until July 2026
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
A welcoming and inclusive GOOD-rated, 3-form entry primary school in Liverpool (L13) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary PE Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. You will play a vital role in inspiring pupils to develop a lifelong love of physical activity, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles.
This Primary PE Teacher post is available immediately and will run until July 2026.
About the Role
You will lead high-quality PE provision across the primary age range, delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that support pupils of all abilities. As a Primary PE Teacher, you will promote physical wellbeing, develop school sport, and encourage participation both in lessons and through extracurricular activities.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver creative, well-structured PE lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
Assess, track, and report on pupil progress in PE
Organise and lead extracurricular sports clubs and activities
Support inter-school competitions and sporting events
Promote physical wellbeing and healthy lifestyles across the school
Work collaboratively with class teachers and senior leaders to enhance the PE curriculum
Ensure safe practice and effective behaviour management during physical activity
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience working as a Primary PE Teacher or delivering PE across a primary setting
Strong subject knowledge across a range of sports and physical activities
A commitment to inclusive practice and pupil wellbeing
Excellent organisational and communication skills
The ability to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities
A willingness to contribute to wider school life
Early Career Teachers with a strong PE specialism are welcome to apply.
