KS2 PPA Teacher
Location: Liverpool (L4)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time | Fixed Term until July 2026
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

A welcoming, inclusive, and GOOD-rated 3-form entry primary school in Liverpool (L4) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated KS2 PPA Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to work across Key Stage 2, delivering high-quality lessons and supporting pupils’ progress across the curriculum.

This full-time position is available immediately and will run until July 2026.

About the Role
You will provide high-quality PPA cover across KS2, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that support continuity of learning. The role includes teaching a range of subjects, promoting positive behaviour, and ensuring pupils remain motivated and supported in the absence of their class teacher.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, well-planned lessons across KS2 classes
Provide consistent and high-quality PPA cover across a range of subjects
Maintain continuity of learning and follow school planning where provided
Assess and provide feedback on pupil progress
Uphold strong behaviour management and classroom routines
Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners
Work collaboratively with class teachers and senior leaders
Contribute positively to the wider life of the school

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching within Key Stage 2
Strong curriculum knowledge across primary subjects
Good classroom and behaviour management skills
A commitment to inclusive practice and pupil wellbeing
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Flexibility and confidence teaching across different year groups

Year 2 Teaching Assistant

Are you someone who can think on their feet, use their initiative, and build strong, supportive relationships with children?

We are looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 2 who is currently working at Foundation Stage level. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with a nurturing approach and the ability to adapt learning experiences to meet individual needs.

 

About the Role

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to support a pupil who benefits from regular movement and sensory breaks throughout the day. There are no behavioural needs, but the ability to recognise when the pupil needs time away from the classroom is essential.

The pupil responds particularly well to sports and active learning, so an interest in physical activity or outdoor learning would be a great asset in this role.
