Teaching Assistants Required – Primary Schools Across the Wirral

Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunities | September Start 

Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in a welcoming primary school setting?

We are currently recruiting several Teaching Assistants to work within a variety of primary schools across the Wirral from September. These are full-time, long-term positions supporting pupils across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

The roles available include both general classroom support positions and 1:1 support roles working with pupils who have Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on children’s learning and development while becoming part of supportive school communities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom
  • Working with individuals and small groups of pupils
  • Providing 1:1 support with additional needs where required
  • Assisting with classroom preparation and behaviour management
  • Helping pupils to engage with learning activities and reach their full potential
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other school staff

 

Requirements 

  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school or in a relevant role supporting children
  • A valid Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS through us
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A nurturing, patient and proactive approach
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

 

Desirable 

  • Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2, Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Knowledge of strategies to support children with additional learning, behavioural or communication needs
