Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work within supportive primary schools?

We are currently recruiting Supply Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary schools in Whiston, Cronton and surrounding areas from September. These opportunities are ideal for Teaching Assistants seeking flexibility, whether you are looking for daily supply, short-term assignments, or regular work across local schools.

You will have the opportunity to gain experience across a variety of year groups, ranging from Early Years through to Key Stage 2, supporting pupils in both classroom-based and small-group settings.

 

The Role 

• Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons
• Working with individual pupils and small groups to support learning
• Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support
• Supporting children’s academic, social and emotional development
• Adapting to different school environments and year groups
• Providing 1:1 support where required

 

Essential Requirements 

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school or in a relevant role supporting children
• A positive, flexible and proactive approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• An Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply one for
• Ability to travel to schools across Whiston, Cronton and surrounding areas

 

Desirable 

• Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2, Level 3 or equivalent)
• Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Experience across a range of primary age groups
• Knowledge of phonics interventions and classroom support strategies
