Desian Education are proud to be supporting a Widnes-based single-form entry primary school that is easily accessible via public transport as they are looking to appoint 2 highly motivated and experienced teaching assistants to support pupils with SEN (special educational needs) consisting of ADHD, ASD and SEMH across the school.
You will be joining a highly experienced and supportive team within this role, directly reporting into the SENCO and working in collaboration with class teachers. You will offer comprehensive supporting across the school directly supporting pupils with SEN on a required and timetabled basis, tailoring your approach to best suit pupils developmental needs. Your core duties will include:
· Implementation of regulation strategies, support plans and positive behaviour strategies
· Delivering ELSA interventions
· Tailoring lesson plans to best suit individual needs
· Accurately monitor pupil progress and contribute to reviews/meetings by giving accurate feedback on outcomes
What you need to succeed
To be considered in your application, you must have full “Right to Work” in the UK, recent relevant referenceable experience working with children and young people, and:
· Experience supporting children with SEN
· Experienced delivering ELSA support
· The ability to effectively manage complex behavioural needs
· Be able to commit to a full-time 32.5 hour contract
