Desian Education are proud to be supporting a Warrington-based two-form entry full capacity primary school as they are looking to appoint an experienced and dedicated teaching assistant to support across the reception and year 1 classes.

This is an extremely exciting long-term opportunity that will last the remainder of the academic year where you will play an integral part in the education of the reception and year 1 classes. As a teaching assistant within this school you will lead on individual and small group interventions in key area’s including numeracy, literacy, phonics and fine motor skills. You will liaise with class teachers to gauge pupil attainment needs and individually plan 1:1 and small group interventions to support their development.

 

What you need to succeed

To be considered in your application, you must have full “Right to Work” in the UK, be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS screening and:

·       Have strong knowledge of the EYFS and KS1 national curriculums

·       Experience planning, preparing and delivering interventions in numeracy, literacy and phonics (RWI)

·       Be able to commit to a long-term full-time contract

Year 2 Teaching Assistant

Are you someone who can think on their feet, use their initiative, and build strong, supportive relationships with children?

We are looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 2 who is currently working at Foundation Stage level. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with a nurturing approach and the ability to adapt learning experiences to meet individual needs.

 

About the Role

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to support a pupil who benefits from regular movement and sensory breaks throughout the day. There are no behavioural needs, but the ability to recognise when the pupil needs time away from the classroom is essential.

The pupil responds particularly well to sports and active learning, so an interest in physical activity or outdoor learning would be a great asset in this role.
