High School Teaching Assistant

Your new school

Desian Education are proud to be supporting an extremely supportive and welcoming SEN secondary school in Winsford with an outstanding reputation in it’s local community as they are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated teaching assistant to a long-term full-time contract, consisting of 32.5 hours per week. This school are looking to appoint someone to start immediately and have funding secured until the end of the academic year.

Within this role you will be joining an extremely an extremely experienced and supportive team of educational professionals. You will offer comprehensive support across all classes on a required basis, working in collaboration with class teachers and leading on interventions in core subjects. As this is an SEN school, all the pupils you will be supporting have individual EHCP’s that need to be met, but this school is extremely academic with the majority of pupils working at the curriculum with minimal behavioural escalations. Your core duties will include:

·       Completing 1:1 and small interventions in core subjects including GCSE preparation

·       Supporting in vocational learning

·       Implementing positive behaviour strategies

·       Attending school trips

·       Supporting during break and lunch times

 

What you need to succeed

To be considered in your application you must have full “Right to Work” in the UK, be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS screening, and:

·       Have good knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 national curriculums

·       Have experienced delivering interventions and boosters in core subjects

·       Be able to commit to a full-time long-term contract
