Year 6 class teacher

Desian Education is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious two-form entry primary school in Warrington, seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join their team from January 2027 for a two-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate KS2 practitioner who is committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential during this important stage of their primary education. The successful candidate will join a supportive team, work alongside an experienced parallel Year 6 teacher, and contribute to the school’s continued success.

Your new role

• Full-time Year 6 class teacher.
• Planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Preparing pupils for the transition to secondary school.
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all children can thrive.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and school leaders to support pupil progress.

What you will need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Significant experience teaching within Key Stage 2
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the Year 6 curriculum
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• The ability to differentiate learning effectively for a range of abilities
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A nurturing, patient, and inclusive approach to teaching
• A commitment to raising attainment and supporting pupil wellbeing
