Desian Education is proud to be working with a friendly and supportive primary school in St Helens that is seeking an exceptional Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis.

This rewarding opportunity would suit a confident and experienced practitioner who can inspire young learners, deliver engaging lessons, and support pupils during this crucial stage of their primary education. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils achieve their full potential while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

The school are welcoming applications from MPS 2 – MPS 6 Teachers.

As the Year 2 Class Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
• Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and development.
• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, ensuring children are supported and challenged appropriately.
• Prepare pupils effectively for end-of-Key Stage assessments.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to support pupil success.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attainment, and personal development.

The successful candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 2.
• A strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• A commitment to raising standards and achieving the best outcomes for all pupils.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
