- Support the pupil’s academic, social and emotional development
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school staff to implement support strategies
- Assist with behaviour management and promote positive engagement in learning
- Adapt activities and learning resources to meet individual eneds
- Build a positive and supportive relationship with the pupil and their family where appropriate
- Previous experience supporting individuals with additional needs is essential
- SEN Experience can come from a variety of backgrounds including:
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate transferable skills relevant to supporting individuals with additional needs
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one
- Competitive daily rates of pay
