Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant (General & SEN Support)

Hours: 08:30 – 15:30, Monday to Friday (Term time only)
Start Date: Immediately following the upcoming half-term

Desian Education is recruiting an experienced and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school community in Halewood. This rewarding full-time role combines general classroom support with targeted individual care.

The Role

Classroom Support: Assist the class teacher with daily lesson delivery and resource preparation.
Group Intervention: Lead small group activities to boost literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
SEN Support: Provide tailored 1:1 assistance for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) when required.
Inclusion: Help create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for all children.

Requirements

School Experience: Proven experience working within a UK primary school setting is essential.
SEN Experience: Demonstrable experience supporting children with SEN in a school or residential care setting.
Qualifications: A relevant Teaching Assistant or SEN qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 NVQ) is highly desirable.
Compliance: Must hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to process a new one through Desian Education.
