Are you passionate about early years education? Desian Education are currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic teaching assistant to support a Reception class in a welcoming Wallasey primary school.

 

The role

We are looking for a general classroom teaching assistant to work full-time in a vibrant and supportive Reception class. This long-term position offers consistency and the opportunity to become an integral part of the school community. This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday 8.30am-3.30pm term time.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging EYFS curriculum activities
  • Assisting with early maths and literacy development
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and social skills
  • Helping to prepare resources and maintain a safe, stimulating learning environment
  • Providing one-to-one or small group support when needed
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

 

Requirements

  • Experience working with children in an early years setting (private day nursery or primary school setting)
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s development and wellbeing
  • A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Desian Education)
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are beneficial but not essential
