Desian Education
Your new company
Desian Education are proud to be working in partnership with a single-form entry primary school in Salford as they require an experienced and motivated teaching assistant to support across their LKS2 (lower key stage 2) classes on a temporary basis due to additional funding. This is a full-time position that will last the remainder of the academic year.
Your new role
As a teaching assistant within this school you will be joining a supportive LKS2 cohort, working in collaboration with the year 3 and year 4 class teachers to promote the engagement, learning and development of your new pupils by breaking down barriers and building strong constructive relationships with your new pupils. You will lead on 1:1 and small group interventions by interpedently planning comprehensive 1:1 interventions and intense small group sessions that will be held in a separate classroom. As well as leading on interventions you will also hold small group ESOL sessions for the afternoon every Thursday to a small group of pupils with EAL.
