Teaching Assistant – KS2 Interventions and Behavioural Support

Desian Education are working in partnership with a collaborative and welcoming mainstream primary school in Runcorn who are looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time temporary basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident TA who enjoys working across KS2 and is passionate about helping pupils make progress both academically and socially.

The successful candidate will work across the KS2 cohort, providing targeted support through 1:1 and small-group interventions, alongside supporting positive behaviour and classroom engagement.

The role will involve:

·       Supporting pupils across the KS2 cohort

·       Delivering targeted core subject interventions, including Maths, English and Phonics

·       Supporting non-core subject interventions where required

·       Working with pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis

·       Providing positive and proactive behaviour management

·       Supporting pupils to remain engaged and focused during lessons

·       Working closely with class teachers and the wider school team

·       Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours

What you need to succeed:

·       Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school

·       Has experience supporting pupils across KS2

·       Is confident delivering targeted interventions

·       Has a strong understanding of positive behaviour management

·       Is adaptable and comfortable working across different year groups

·       Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff

·       Is enthusiastic, reliable and committed to supporting pupil progress
