Year 4 Teaching Assistant

Desian Education are proud to be supporting a Runcorn-based single form entry primary school. This inclusive and supportive mainstream school require a teaching assistant to join their team on a full-time temporary basis to support pupils with ALN (additional learning needs) in Year 4.

You will lead on 1:1 and small group support for a group of pupils with ALN. You will:

• Plan and delivering targeted interventions in core subjects
• Encourage relevant lesson input
• Integrate your pupils into new pupil groups
• Accurately track and record pupil progress including recognising key milestones
• Report into the deputy head on pupil progress and further requirements
• Support with general classroom and behaviour management

What you need to succeed

• Full “Right to Work” in the UK
• Expert knowledge of the KS2 national curriculums
• Relevant referenceable classroom experience
• Be willing to undergo an Enhanced Children’s DBS check
• Be at least NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification
