Desian Education
Desian Education are proud to be supporting a mainstream secondary school in Warrington that is easily accessible via public transport as they require an experienced and motivated teaching assistant to support pupils within a mixed KS3 & KS4 designated provision on a full-time temporary basis from September. Subject to funding, this position will last the entirety of the academic year.
This is an extremely rewarding opportunity where you will play an integral part in the education and emotional well-being of a select group of pupils with SEMH due to previous trauma.
Your new role:
As a teaching assistant within this school, you will be joining the internal SEN team, working in collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO to promote the well-being, emotional regulation and attendance of pupils with SEMH. Due to previous trauma, each pupil has an individual EHCP, behaviour plan and diagnosis of SEMH, due to their needs they will at times promote complex challenging behaviours and try to abscond, not due to a lack of support or personal attack, but a means of communication, a cry out for help, or as a coping mechanism. You will play an integral part in the education, attendance and emotional-wellbeing of these pupils by:
