School Caretaker

Desian Education are currently supporting a large Primary School in Ellesmere Port to recruit an experienced caretake for and long-term temporary position.

The school are looking for a Caretake to join the team ASAP on a temporary basis which could become permanent for the right person.

The role with be 30 hours a week, Monday to Friday working split shifts

Morning – 7.00am – 10.00am

Afternoon – 3.00pm – 6.00pm

 

Your New Role:

As a caretaker in a Primary School, you will work closely with the school business management and senior leadership team to support with the daily running of the school ensuring that the premises and grounds are a safe and welcoming environment for all children, staff and visitors

Duties will include:

 

• Maintaining clean, safe and secure school premises, which includes buildings and grounds.
• Completing weekly and annual compliance checks across the school
• Carrying out cleaning, handyperson activities, routine maintenance and refurbishment, porterage, and minor repairs.
• Supervision of school cleaning staff.
• Promoting health and safety around the school.
• Supporting contractors completing panned and reactive maintenance across the school including grounds maintenance

What you will need: 

• Previous experience working as a school caretaker or in a similar role
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one)
• Satisfactory References
