Desian Education is pleased to be recruiting for a nurturing and proactive Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Wirral primary school. This is a full-time, long-term role supporting a pupil who will truly benefit from a caring, consistent, and patient Teaching Assistant by their side.

 

About the Role

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Build a strong, trusting relationship with a Year 3 pupil
  • Think on their feet and use their initiative
  • Adapt learning approaches to help the pupil stay regulated and engaged
  • Get down to the pupil’s level and join in with activities in a hands-on, supportive way
  • Bring warmth, positivity, and emotional resilience to the classroom
  • The pupil does not display behavioural outbursts, but can become dysregulated at times and needs
  • Teaching Assistant who can provide calm, nurturing support and help maintain focus through flexible strategies.

 

What you’ll need 

This position is especially suited to anyone with a passion for speech and language development, as the pupil is working on developing their speech and sounds. A background or interest in this would be beneficial but is not essential.

  • Confident supporting on a 1:1 basis both in and outside the classroom as required.
    Are empathetic, patient, and confident in building rapport.
  • Can use your initiative in a busy classroom environment.
  • Are committed, reliable, and enthusiastic about making a difference.
