Reception Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting early childhood development? Do you have experience working in EYFS settings, either in a school or nursery environment? We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in the Wirral area.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced EYFS practitioner to support teaching and learning within a Reception classroom. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality early years education, supporting both individual and group learning, and promoting a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum
• Assist in planning and delivering engaging learning activities
• Observe, assess, and record children’s progress
• Provide 1:1 and group support as needed
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with staff and communicate effectively with parents/carers

Requirements

• Relevant EYFS qualification
• Previous experience in a school or nursery setting, specifically within the EYFS framework
• A patient, caring, and flexible approach
• DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
