Desian Education is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Winsford to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Year 5 Teacher for a long-term supply position starting after the October half term.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher looking to make a positive impact within Key Stage 2 and become part of a dedicated school team for the remainder of the academic year.

Your new role

The successful candidate will:

Take responsibility for a Year 5 class, delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across the curriculum.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.
Plan, deliver and assess lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
Support pupils in achieving strong academic progress and developing confidence in their learning.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.
Effectively manage classroom behaviour and maintain high expectations for all learners.

What you will need:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Significant experience teaching within Key Stage 2
Strong knowledge and understanding of the Year 5 curriculum
Proven experience supporting pupils with high SEND needs
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
The ability to differentiate learning effectively for a range of abilities
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A nurturing, patient, and inclusive approach to teaching
A commitment to raising attainment and supporting pupil wellbeing
