KS2 Tutor – Part Time (2 x 1 hour sessions a week)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Tutor to provide educational support for a child in Lower Key Stage 2 on a long-term temporary basis.

This rewarding role involves delivering two 1-hour tutoring sessions per week, tailored to the child’s individual learning needs, helping to build confidence, engagement and academic progress. The sessions would star at 3.30pm at a Widnes Primary School.

 

The Role

• Deliver engaging and personalised tuition sessions.
• Support the child’s learning in core subjects, particularly English and Maths.
• Adapt teaching strategies to suit the child’s individual needs and learning style.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback where required.
• Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.

 

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant tutoring/teaching experience.
• Experience working with primary-aged pupils, preferably within KS2.
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum.
• Patient, supportive and able to build positive relationships with children.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
