Level 2 Teaching Assistant – Year 2

Desian Education are proud to be working in partnership with a single-form entry primary school in Warrington. This extremely supportive and welcoming school is looking for a Level 2 qualified teaching assistant to join the year 2 class on a full-time temporary basis from September.

This is an extremely exciting opportunity where you will be joining an outstanding school on a temporary basis for the full academic year and playing a key role in the education and development of all pupils within the year 2 class.

 

Your new role:

As a teaching assistant within this year 2 class you will be working in collaboration with a highly experience and supportive class teacher. You will support the teacher in all aspects of learning by utilising an array of resources, aiding in general behaviour management and identifying pupil academic shortfalls. To ensure that shortfalls become areas of strength you will plan and delivered tailored interventions in all required areas including numeracy, literacy and phonics.

 

What you need to succeed:

·       Full “Right to Work” in the UK

·       An NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification

·       Good knowledge of the KS1 national curriculum

·       Relevant referenceable classroom experience

·       An Enhanced Children’s DBS certificate or willingness to obtain
