Early Years Teaching Assistant – Level 2

Desian Education are proud to be working in partnership with an outstanding Warrington-based nursery school that supports young learners between the ages of 2 – 5. This extremely encouraging and inclusive school is looking for a motivated and qualified early years teaching assistant to join their team on a full-time basis, 8am – 4pm.

This school has a large percentage of pupils with specific SEND and ISP’s.

 

Your new role:

As a teaching assistant within this school you will be supporting young learners between the ages of 2 – 5 and supporting the nursery teachers in all aspects of education. You will support across all rooms within the nursery and supporting all students across the school, ensuring that all educational activities are fun, engaging and in line with the EYFS national curriculum. This nursery school believes in holistic pupil lead approaches to education to support emotional, social and confidence development and as such pupils spend a lot of time in the Forest School and you will support with OPAL (outdoor play and learning). You will also support a number of pupils with SEN on a 1:1 required basis with needs that including mobility requirements and ASD/ASC.

 

What you need to succeed:

·       Full “Right to Work” in the UK

·       An NVQ Level 2 Children’s Care, Learning and Development or equivalent qualification

·       Expert knowledge of the EYFS national curriculum

·       A minimum of 40 days referenceable classroom experience in EYFS within the last 2 years

·       A passion for supporting young learners

·       An Enhanced Children’s DBS certificate or willingness to obtain
