Desian Education are proud to be supporting a single-form entry primary school in Salford that is easily accessible via public transport as they require an experienced and qualified teaching assistant to join the year 6 class on a full-time temporary basis. This vacancy has an immediate start available and will last the remainder of the academic year.

 

Your new role

You will be joining an extremely inclusive and vibrant year 6 class, working in collaboration with the class teacher to ensure that each pupil reaches their full academic potential. You will support the class teacher in the delivering of fun and inclusive lessons by utilising an array of learning equipment, managing behaviours and encouraging engagement. You will:

  • Plan and delivering 1:1 and small group interventions
  • Support pupils with SEN within the class
  • Support with SATs preparation
  • Implement positive behaviour strategies

 

What you need to succeed

  • A Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification
  • Good knowledge of the KS2 national curriculum
  • Experience planning and delivering interventions in core subjects
  • Relevant referenceable classroom experience
