Desian Education are proud to be working in collaboration with a single-form entry primary school in Salford with easy access to the motorway as they are looking to appoint a reliable and consistent teaching assistant for a long-term full-time contract consisting of 32.5 hours per week.

 

Your new role

As a teaching assistant within this school you will be joining the year 5, working in collaboration with the class teacher and playing an integral part in the education of 4 pupils within the class with EAL (English as an additional language). You will support the education and development of your pupils by:

  • Planning and delivering ESL sessions
  • Use of letters and sounds and phonics
  • Integrating pupils into new pupil groups
  • Tracking progress in learning journeys
  • Liaising with the head teacher on pupil progress and key milestones

 

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Full “Right to Work” in the UK
  • Experience working with EAL
  • An ESOL or TEFL qualification is advantageous
  • Be able to commit to a full-time long-term contract
