Desian Education are proud to be working in partnership with an extremely supportive and pupil-focused SEN specialist primary school in the heart of Northwich that is easily accessible via public transport as they are looking to appoint a number of motivated and reliable teaching assistants for full-time contracts.

This school support children and young people with a myriad of complex and profound needs such as ASD, SLD, non-verbal and SEMH. They try their upmost to group classes by age group, but due to the needs presented some classes are grouped by ability.

 

What we are looking for

This school are looking for individuals with extensive SEN experience within a classroom or residential environment. This is the perfect opportunity for someone wanting to transition into the classroom from a care background. All you need is:

  • A genuine passion for supporting young learners
  • Experience supporting complex and profound needs
  • Be comfortable completing personal/intimate care (only required with younger year groups)
  • The ability to effectively manage behaviours
  • The ability to build strong constructive relationships

 

What you need to succeed

To be considered in your application you must have:

  • Full “Right to Work” in the UK
  • Be able to commit to a full-time contract consisting of 32.5 hours per week
  • Be willing to undergo an enhanced children’s DBS screening
