Year 6 Teacher – Maternity Cover (Long Term – Potential Permanent Role)

Location: Liverpool
Start Date: May 2026

Desian Education are working in close partnership with a high-level need primary school located in a deprived area of Liverpool. The school is seeking a committed and experienced Year 6 Teacher to cover maternity leave, starting in May 2026.

This role will initially focus on intervention-based teaching to support pupils in preparation for KS2 SATs, continuing through to June 2026. There is a strong potential for the role to become permanent from September 2026 for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will:

Hold QTS (or equivalent UK teaching qualification)
Have experience teaching Year 6 and preparing pupils for SATs
Be confident delivering targeted interventions to support progress
Demonstrate resilience, empathy, and a passion for working in a challenging but rewarding environment
Be committed to making a positive impact on pupils with high levels of need
