Are you a passionate, patient and resilient Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding new opportunity?

We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to join a specialist SEND school in South Liverpool, supporting children and young people aged 3-19 with autism and additional learning, communication, sensory and social needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to do more than simply support learning – you’ll play a key role in helping young people develop confidence, communication, independence and essential life skills.

 

💙 What will you be doing?

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with experienced teachers and specialist staff to provide personalised support to students, helping them to engage with learning and reach their individual potential.

 

Your day-to-day role could include:

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 or small-group basis
  • Helping deliver engaging and differentiated learning activities
  • Supporting communication and social development
  • Helping students manage sensory and emotional challenges
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Developing students’ independence and life skills
  • Supporting students both inside and outside the classroom
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and wider specialist teams

We’re looking for people with the right attitude, personality and values.

You could be an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, SEND Support Worker, Behaviour Support Worker or someone with relevant experience in care or education.

You should be:

Experience working with autism or SEND is highly desirable, although candidates with transferable experience and the right approach are encouraged to apply.
