Early Years Teaching Assistants – Level 2

Due to unprecedented demand Desian Education are supporting a large number of mainstream primary schools and school-based nurseries with their September recruitment. With changes across the local authority and internal restructures in schools we are looking to appoint a number of Level 2 qualified EYFS teaching assistants for long-term full-time contracts.

We have a number of exciting opportunities to play a pivotal role in the development of young children at a crucial stage of their development.

Your new role:

As a early years teaching assistant within Desian education you will have the opportunity to work in one of a number of schools in Halton on a long-term temporary basis. You will be joining the EYFS cohort in one of our partnership schools and working in collaboration with the class teacher to promote the engagement, development and positive learning outcomes of all pupils. Typically, you will plan and delivery a variety of fun learning activities in line with pupils key interests and the EYFS national curriculum. Other duties will include:

• Accurately tracking pupil’s learning and giving feedback
• Direct liaison with parents/guardians
• Delivering sessions using the RWI scheme

What you need to succeed:

• Full “Right to Work” in the UK
• Expert knowledge of the EYFS national curriculum
• An NVQ Level 2 Children’s Care Learning and Development or equivalent qualification
• A passion for supporting young learners
