- Delivering small-group phonics and reading comprehension interventions to Reception pupils.

- Supporting pupils with EHCPs to access learning and develop their independence.
- Using Makaton and PECS to support communication.
- Assisting with personal and intimate care where required.

- A minimum of 40 days’ referenceable classroom experience within the last 2 years.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
- NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification.
- An Enhanced Children’s DBS certificate, or willingness to obtain one.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN/additional needs.
- A patient, nurturing and proactive approach.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a supportive EYFS team.

Your New Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will join an experienced EYFS cohort and work closely with the class teacher to support the learning, development and engagement of pupils across the Nursery and Reception age groups.
