This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate primary practitioner who can inspire pupils, maintain high expectations, and effectively prepare children for their transition to secondary education. The successful candidate will join a supportive staff team committed to delivering outstanding learning experiences and achieving excellent outcomes for all pupils.

 

Your new role

As the Year 6 Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Prepare pupils for end of Key Stage 2 assessments while maintaining a broad and balanced curriculum.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Track and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
  • Work collaboratively with year group colleagues, support staff and senior leaders.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents and the wider school community.
     

What you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Significant experience teaching within Key Stage 2
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Year 6 curriculum
  • Proven experience supporting pupils with high SEND needs
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • The ability to differentiate learning effectively for a range of abilities
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A nurturing, patient, and inclusive approach to teaching
  • A commitment to raising attainment and supporting pupil wellbeing
