About the Role
Desian Education is proud to partner with a welcoming primary school in Prescot to recruit a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant. This is a vital role supporting a busy EYFS setting where you will be counted within the statutory staff-to-child ratios. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact on the children’s learning journey.

 

 

Key Responsibilities
Ratio Support: Maintaining high standards of care and supervision as a qualified member of the team.
Curriculum Delivery: Supporting the EYFS framework through engaging, pupil-led activities.
Group Work: Leading small group interventions in areas such as phonics (RWI) and early numeracy.
Observation: Assisting class teachers with assessments and recording developmental milestones.

 

 

Requirements
Qualifications: A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification is mandatory for this ratio-covered role.
Experience: Proven experience working within a nursery or primary school EYFS setting.
Safeguarding: An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service is essential. If you do not have one, you must be prepared to apply for a new one immediately and provide the necessary identity documents.
