We are currently working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Knowsley that is looking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team on a full-time, long-term basis.
This role is ideal for a candidate with a passion for supporting young children in the early stages of their education and helping to create a positive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment.
The RoleÂ
– Supporting children within Nursery and/or Reception classes
– Assisting with learning through play and child-led activities
– Supporting children’s social, emotional, and educational development
– Working with individuals and small groups to promote early learning skills
– Encouraging language, communication, literacy and numeracy development
– Helping to maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
– Supporting with observations and assessment activities where required
The Ideal Candidate:
– Holds a recognised Early Years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare/Early Years Educator or equivalent)
– Previous experience working within a nursery, preschool, or Early Years setting
– Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
– Passionate about supporting children’s learning and development
– Patient, nurturing, and able to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
– Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
