SEN Primary Teacher

Desian Education is looking for a passionate and experienced SEN Primary Teacher to join a supportive primary school in St Helens on a long-term basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and can create an inclusive, positive and nurturing learning environment where every pupil has the opportunity to succeed.

As an SEN Primary Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Support pupils with a range of special educational needs.
• Adapt teaching strategies and resources to help pupils access the curriculum.
• Create a calm, structured and supportive classroom environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and adapt learning accordingly.
• Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs and other school staff.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and carers.
• Promote pupils’ confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching within a primary school setting.
• Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND.
• Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills.
• A patient, adaptable and nurturing approach.
• The ability to build positive relationships with children who may require additional support.
• A genuine passion for helping every child achieve their potential.
