Part-time EYFS Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about early years education and looking for a rewarding part-time role in a nurturing school environment? A welcoming primary school in Wirral is seeking a dedicated and experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team, supporting children in the Foundation Stage every morning.

Working hours for this role are 8.30am-12.30pm.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive EYFS setting, providing high-quality care and learning support to young children during the vital early stages of their education.

Key responsibilities include

• Supporting the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
• Assisting with classroom routines, activities, and small group work
• Observing and supporting children’s learning and development
• Promoting a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
• Working closely with the class teacher and wider EYFS team

Requirements

• Previous experience working in an EYFS setting (nursery or school)
• A relevant qualification in Early Years or Supporting Teaching & Learning (e.g. Level 2/3) is desirable
• A strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development
• A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
• A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
