Desian Education is delighted to be supporting a welcoming single-form entry primary school in Northwich in their search for a passionate and dedicated Year 1 Teacher.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and supportive school community that is committed to providing high-quality learning experiences for every child. The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 1 class, delivering engaging lessons that build upon children’s early learning and help them thrive as they transition into Key Stage 1.

Your new role

As the Year 1 Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
• Foster a positive, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support children in developing key literacy, numeracy and social skills.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and support staff.
• Prepare pupils for the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check through effective and engaging teaching.
• Encourage a love of learning and help every child achieve their full potential.

What you will need: 

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Recent experience teaching across KS1&KS2
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one)
Satisfactory References
