Year 1 Class Teacher

Are you a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in St Helens on a long-term temporary basis, starting in September.

This is an excellent opportunity for a committed teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging lessons, fostering a love of learning, and helping young children achieve their full potential during this vital stage of their education.

 

The Role

As the successful Year 1 Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all pupils feel valued and supported.
• Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress effectively.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for children.
• Encourage pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.

 

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills.
• Is passionate about providing high-quality education and inspiring young learners.
• Has a sound understanding of the Year 1 curriculum and phonics delivery.
• Is committed, reliable, and able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
