Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work in local primary schools?

We are currently working with a number of primary schools across St Helens that are looking for reliable and enthusiastic Supply Teaching Assistants to support their schools from September. Whether you’re looking for a few days a week or full-time flexible work, we have opportunities to suit you.

 

The Role

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will provide support across a variety of primary school settings, covering staff absences and helping to maintain a positive learning environment. Assignments may include:

• General classroom support
• 1:1 support for individual pupils
• Small group intervention work
• Early Years, KS1 and KS2 placements
• Short-term and day-to-day supply cover

 

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in different schools while enjoying the flexibility that supply work offers.

 

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a school setting or with children is essential.
• A positive, adaptable, and proactive attitude.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff quickly.

 

Desirable

• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, CACHE qualification, or equivalent.
• Experience across Early Years, KS1, or KS2.

 

Compliance

• Applicants must hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to provide the required documentation to apply for a new DBS.
