Desian Education are proud to announce that we have partnered with a mainstream primary school in Winsford that is at the heart of it’s local community. This extremely supportive and family ethos school are looking for a qualified and experienced teaching assistant to join the KS2 cohort on a full-time temporary basis from September.
This is an essential contract for the school where you will lead on individual interventions and behavioural support across the KS2 classes.
Your new role:
You will be joining a supportive and welcoming school on a full-time temporary basis from September and working collaboratively with the KS2 class teachers to promote the learning and engagement of all pupils. This is an extremely supportive and collaborative school with a number of “lively” KS2 pupils that require 1:1 learning and behavioural support. You will lead on 1:1 interventions, independently planning and delivering interventions in required areas such as Maths and English and accurately track, record and report on individual pupil progress. You will also lead on positive behaviour support, implementing a myriad of whole class and individual strategies to promote engagement, learning and attendance.
What you need to succeed:
· Full “Right to Work” in the UK
· Expert knowledge of the KS2 national curriculum
· Relevant referenceable classroom experience
· An NVQ Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification
· Strong behaviour management skills
· An Enhanced Children’s DBS certificate or willingness to obtain
