Teaching Assistant – 1:1 SEN Support (Year 4 – ASD)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a primary school based in St Helens.
This is a full-time, long-term role starting in September, ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide consistent 1:1 SEN support
Support academic, social and emotional development
Follow strategies outlined in the pupil’s EHCP
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo
Promote independence and positive behaviour
Requirements:
Previous SEN experience essential (ASD desirable)
School-based experience required
Patient, nurturing and resilient approach
DBS on the Update Service or documents to apply for one
