EYFS Teaching Assistant
Location: Knowsley
Position: Full-time, Long-term
Start Date: September

We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and nurturing EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Knowsley.

This is a full-time, long-term role starting in September, supporting children within the Early Years Foundation Stage. The successful candidate must hold a recognised EYFS Teaching Assistant qualification to allow them to be included in staff-to-child ratios.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher across the EYFS setting
Work with children individually and in small groups
Contribute to daily planning and delivery of EYFS activities
Support children’s learning, development and wellbeing
Assist with observations, assessments and learning journals
Help maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
Contribute fully to EYFS ratios and daily routines

Requirements:
A recognised EYFS Teaching Assistant / Early Years qualification (essential to contribute to ratios)
Previous EYFS or school-based experience required
A caring, patient and proactive approach
Good understanding of the EYFS framework
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A DBS on the Update Service or relevant documents to apply for one
