If you’re a KS1 teacher who enjoys working with diverse learners and supporting children through the crucial EYFS to Year 1 transition, this role could be an excellent fit.

 

📘 The Role:
Full responsibility for a Year 1 class – planning, teaching, and assessing in line with the national curriculum
Adapting teaching to support children from a range of backgrounds, including EAL learners
Creating a structured, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
Working closely with support staff, SEN teams, and school leadership
Full‑time teaching position
Long‑term opportunity providing stability and consistency
Supportive SLT who value staff wellbeing and professional development

 

✅ The Ideal Candidate:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Full Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one)
Experience in Year 1, KS1, or high‑need settings (EAL experience highly desirable)
Confident differentiating learning to meet a range of needs and abilities
Calm, patient, and positive approach to behaviour and inclusion
Committed, resilient, and passionate about closing attainment gaps

 

💷 Pay:
M1 – M6: £120 – £232 per day, depending on experience
